Sound Familiar?

You've tried everything. They'd still rather scroll.

You've bought the books, suggested the series, even tried the "just ten minutes a day" approach. Nothing sticks. Your teenager would rather watch TikTok videos for three hours than read a single chapter. You remember loving books at their age. You know reading matters for their grades, their imagination, their future. But every conversation about it turns into a battle you don't want to fight.

That's exactly why I wrote this book.

About the Author

Teacher. Reader. Here to Help.

I'm Monique, and I've spent over 10 years as an English teacher, trying to encourage teens to love reading as much as I do. I wrote this book because I kept having the same conversation with parents: "My child used to love reading. Now, reading is a battle. What happened?" I know what happened. And in this book, I share everything I've learned about how to help.

Real Teens. Real Insights.

Before writing this book, I asked my students to be honest with me. They were.

When you read, you can only focus on one thing. That's so boring!
